Of great varieties and first-rate quality, Shu brocade and embroideries are the best choices for shoppers in Sichuan. The bamboo can be made over porcelain, and handicrafts like vases, coffee wares and bowls designed in this way will be extremely arresting. And other specialties include filigree items, Qingcheng silk blankets, tapestries, rugs and Pixian bean paste, one of the necessary seasonings of Sichuan cuisine.

The busiest streets for shopping in Chengdu are Chunxi Road, Zongfu Road and Luomashi, where one may feel dazzled when face a great ocean of commodities.

Located in the middle section of Shudu Road, Red Flag Department Store is the rendezvous of various local foods. In the store, other specialties like Shu embroidery, bamboo over porcelain, piquant sauce, smoked meat and Jiannanchun are also available.
